“My Myth, My Country” is Park’s current ongoing series that focuses on queer kinship, environmental portraits, social landscape photographs and documentary-style images. Specific sites include Park’s homelands in Northern California, along with images that recontextualize National Parks outside their government relationship (with images in Chumash, Cahuilla, Tiwa territories - expanding outwards). This work hopes to challenge and disrupt the “American West” travel documentation and to re-establish a tether to sacred lands and waters.
